My visit with John Bul Dau.

John interdust introdust me to some of his old friends and some of the young kids he was walking with me around the village he said you must be starving you've been on the plain all day and I hate there food, come with me. The food was good but different but it was good for me to try something new. John said it was time when the whole village meet up. I followed him to the group they started telling stories some were funny and some really sad. Some people got up and starting singing. After John stood up a started saying a few words that I didn't understand then he told me to stand up I said my name then the people that were sing stood up and started singing with my name. After it ended John took me to where I was gonna sleep, on the way their he told me when he was my age he had to take care over 100s of kids we were interrupted by one of his friends but he called him Dhieu-Deng leek , after they where done talking I asked why that man called him Dhieu-Deng leek he said that was his name but now people call him John. I woke up the next morning with my stuff and the jeep was waiting for me I walked over to john and said thank you and he gave me a huge and i was on my way towards the jeep he yelled wait he handed me a hand made soccer ball the kids made for you he said thanks I had a really great time.

I got excited to land but when we did they said I had to take a 3 hour jeep ride to get to the village. When I got there I could see their there smiles from a mile away there bright white teeth, they greeted me with hugs instead of hand shakes smiles every where.

Day 7


                  Emmanuel's plane left in 10 minutes, I was very sad. He promised he would send me letters. The loud speakers announced the plane is leaving he picked up his bags and I gave him a hug he said he was very glad to stay here, And he was off.

Day 7

                    Today was Emmanuel's last day here. His plane would leave tonight I really wanted to get something for Emmanuel I couldn't decide what I wanted to get him, then it popped I knew what Emmanuel was good at biking so I begged my mom to get Emmanuel really nice bike, when I showed him he wouldn't take it he refused I finally got he to take it he was very happy.

Day 6

                     I knew that we were going to Hearst Castle but i've never been their. when he got in the car i told Emmanuel it was going to be a long car trip. When we pulled up Emmanuel dropped his jaw he couldn't believe how big it, we looked around it was awesome, the pool was huge.when we left i fell asleep in the car i had a dream that me and Emmanuel stayed the night Hearst Castle.

Day 5

               Today at the Arlington emmanuel and i went to go see Jim Carry talk about his knew movie. Emmanuel thought he was funny some parts of when he talked. At the end he actully came up to us and talked emmanuel really liked him after.   

Day 4


                   I almost forgot i really wanted to show him a puppy and feel the soft fur. He thought it was really cute, and soft. He thought it was really funny and tickeld when it licked him.

Day 3

                          Today my mom and I and Emmanuel, got some heavy duty fire works. We drove to Sactomento to light off the fireworks. Emmanuel and I even had fun car. when we got there it was about dark, we light off the fireworks, he thought they were really loud and also thought they were really cool but he couldn't figure out how they worked. That day was really fun.

Day 2
                         
                        Today my mom took me and Emmeuneul to MC ice cream he got starwberry, at first he thought your supost to smell it than he saw me licking it he tried licking and his ice cream fell of his cone. He got another one and he loved it. His smile was so big, i've never seen anyone have that big of a smile before.  

Today i went surfing witch it was a great day at Rincon. Emmeunuel ate it about 6 or 7 times but after he got the hang of it he had the time of his life. We saw Kelly Slater and his kids he gave me and Emmunuel tips. He was really good.
